used it last weekend for a couple of nights of camping, it held up well to some medium use. light batonning, lots of cutting both dry and green hardwoods. held its edge well. :thumbup:
i find that for cutting hardwood a harder simple carbon steel works well. it doesn't need to be wear resistent, but it needs to be stable (to avoid rolling and dulling) so a hard edge with a fine grain works well.
