Not to late to fish: Bluegills

Sorry for the double post. In a hurry and forgot about the 2010 fishing pic thread.

Indian summer here. Got out to the Mississippi backwater for a couple of hours this afternoon and caught five real nice bluegills. I had to clean these guys . Might be the last mess of fish for the year.

nice big bluegills. one of my favorite eaters. the meat is so rich you ca'nt eat near as many as you can crappie.

Very nice. I have been fishing the local lakes in NY six times in the last three weeks. Trout have been stocked, and they were not biting great, but I have got a bunch of bluegills and bass. It will be warm here this weekend, and I am going to try again this weekend!

Got to go to one lake today and got five good size bluegills and one 19" rainbow trout. Not bad for Nov on Long Island!......

yeah buddy! dad and i went to the city lake next door with the bass to run her for the last time this year. we picked up a bunch of crappie on the fish finder and decided to pick a few out. did pretty well. threw them back though. we both didnt feel like cleaning fish. i kind of regret it now
