Not what I thought I ordered.

Well a few days ago I decided to order a Buck Pilot, nice smaller sized all metal pocket knife. It came in today and to my horror it's a partially serrated blade.

I suppose I should have read closer under tech. specs. but the picture clearly shows a plain edge.

I don't really fault Buck for this, but updating the picture would be in order. All in all for $16 and change I can't be too upset but I was really hoping for a plain edge like the picture.

I understand your pain. The photo is plain edge, but click on "Tech Specs" and it says serrated. It's not your fault.

yes i can see it does..
man i do understand your feelings realy i do..
picts should be labled as
'sample image-actual itme may varry in small details-check tech spec's'

i think buck contracts the website hosting and maintenance..
these small details can really affect some one's feelings on a knife..
got what i think is a good question to you
would you have ordered if the pict said
'sample-check tech spects?

If I had read closer and seen the Yes next to the Serrated I would have passed. Other places like NewGraham and knifeworks label it plain edge, but the Buck price was lower anyways.

I may sell it to a friend, I really don't have a taste for serrations, I used to be ok with them, but for me a plain edge is far more practical and easier to sharpen.

edit. It was the mantis I saw as being plain edge on those sites, but other sites do list a plain edge Pilot. The Pilot was the only one that showed a plain edge. My Fathers40 coupon didn't register either, which was part of the reason I pulled the trigger, oh well, live and learn.
