Hey Guys....

This certainly isn't your Grandpappy's hatchet..

The Busse Combat- Paul's "Tatical" Hatchet!!!

This is the prototype rig for the Paul's hatchet..

It's a front break rig, so you grab the handle, pivot it forward and draw...Rig is set up for handle up carry in this shot..

Still some minor details to work out,,but a pretty cool rig so far..
Can be worn handle up, handle down or Horizontal...

After playing with the Paul's hatchet for a couple of days,, I've come to the conclusion it would make a pretty wicked defensive weapon for close up work..
I know I wouldn't want to get whacked by it...:)

Thats what you call a Hatchet Job..
yikes..:)

So Whatcha think ?

BTW..
Thats my personal Satin Jack set up for left hand carry....

Who's got an Infi Boner now ??? :)

That is a great looking sheath :D Very unique design and it looks like it would be incredibly secure while still offering easy access.

Thanks for the Pics. :D

Eric

Wow Eric beat me to posting a pic here is a pic of the one I developed over 4 months ago  its good to have choices:D "freindly competition":D

Eric looks great!

That's what I like, easy access but secure hold!!

I can't wait to try it out.

Hmmm, that Hatchet looks familiar!! :D:D:D

Sweet guys:D

Would it be possible to do one with a strap around the rear of the handle as an added measure of securing it in?;)

Hey Strabs..

Thanks..:)

As far as a strap is concerned..

It not really needed.. The tool is well held in the sheath...

It would take something serious to knock it out...

The Talon hole could always be used as another form of rentention,,thats not a problem...

Trust me,,when I build a sheath of this type, the tool will not fall out..:)

However a secondary strap of somesort could always be added somehow...

Thanks Eric for posting the pics for me! :) :)

Got these puppies from Eric (Normark) today. The PH sheath is slightly different from the one pictured above. It is VERY secure. I don't think I would lose it, even if it were to hook on to a branch. Tried a little bit of chopping as you can see, but my aim was way off. Heheh, need more practice. :p

As Eric said the sheath can be mounted in different positions. I tried it on and walked around the house, it is very comfortable handle down. You do have to watch where you sit. ;) But in a few minutes I forgot it was there.

The SJ sheath is awesome as well. Very tight.

Thanks go to both Erics for their help and kindness.

I really enjoy looking at all the pics.:D

Got my PH sheath from Normark today.

I can't believe how tight this thing is.

Gonna have to play around with it. May look into a Tek Lok for it.

Did I say I can't believe how tight this thing is?

Man, is it tight.

Thanks Eric!!!

Mike
