My parents got me a Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre 2100 found here but new it might not necessarily be the watch for me. So the Eco-Drive and price point appeal to me. My issue is this, I have relatively small wrists and the Calibre 2100 is far too big to sit on my wrist. What kinds of watches do you guys recommend? I would prefer to stay with an auto or quartz watch, self recharging would be great, I would rather not go manual winders (if they even exist anymore.)

Thanks for help. Merry Christmas present enjoyment.

Anything in particular you are looking for? Diver? Dress? I have 6.5" wrists so I understand what you mean. The largest I have is a Marathon T-SAR which has a case diameter of 46mm. You may consider the Seiko Black Monster, SKX779. This measures in at 44mm for the case diameter. I have mine on a zulu but you can order them with a bracelet.

I just measured my wrists at 7" I like dive rated watches although totally useless for me high dive ratings like 20 bar impress me. Looking for something in the 35mm diameter area I think. I like the Calibre 2100, and the T-SAR but they are far too large for me, I'm thinking in the range of ~8mm case thickness and ~35mm I like the Zulu band's and am curious about the natural silicone rubber bands, metal is fine by me too.

My Seiko came with a nylon web band and was forever dirty so I decided to try something different. I am using one of the Maratac Silicone Rubber Deployment Watch Straps from countycomm.com. It is on a Seiko Auto and has become a favorite watch band. They are very secure with the push button release and flip-lock clasp...mine has never come loose.

The Seiko I have is one of the military version in tan so the brown (I would call it Coyote Tsn myself) band was a perfect match. They come in several colors and sizes to fit a wide range of watches.

I had to trim mine slightly to fit the Seiko but was just a matter of a few seconds with an exacto knife. For 18 bucks I think they are a great buy.

35mm is pretty small for a men's watch these days. Most men's watches are 40mm and up. You'll get used to a larger watch if you give it a chance.

You're not going to find much at all in a 35mm size unless you look at vintage watches. There are still a fair of 38mm watches made today though the trend is to bigger and bigger. You can't always go by the size either as some watches "wear" bigger or smaller than their actual size. My wrist is a bit smaller than your's and while I find 38mm seems to fit me the best I do have some 40 and 42 watches that look fine because of the way they are shaped.

I think with a 7" wrist you would be just fine with what you have. Still, if you want something smaller then as suggested, the Monster would be a good choice. Citizen also makes some automatic divers. This one is fairly small, maybe 39-40mm and comfy. I think they also make the same style in eco-drive.

Is it me, or do the hands and dial on the above look strangely similar to the Seiko?
