I was going through some of pics to post over on the WSS subforum, and noticed a reoccurring theme in my outdoor activities: Spydies!

I think I have post a couple of these here before. Banging around the freshwater swamps, lakes and woods around my house, I keep a Military on me.Here I used it to process the rewards of a couple days in the swamp. Frog legs, catfish and shell cracker fillets, peeled and deveined crawfish tails, and bream, all prepped with the Millie.

I few miles south of me you run into the Gulf of Mexico. When snorkeling and wading around in the salt water bays and bayous, I either keep a Salt 1 clipped inside my waistbands, or a Salt Ladybug on a breakaway lanyard around my neck with a whistle.

The Salts are among my favorite knives ever. There invincibility to nearly any environment make them a go to for outdoor tools. Salt 1 with some mullet and scallops, and then some blue crabs.

Great pictures, shows the usefulness of these knives.

On a side note, those frog legs look yummy. Got a picture of the critter before you cut it up?

cant figure out how to load picture

From the BF FAQ

To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing
after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image.

fishshooter, those are great pictures. It's good to see knives being used. Those frog legs are huge. I don't think they grow them that big around here.

Thanks for the great pics, Fishshooter. I think that you have shown the versatility of the Millie and it's good to know that I am not the only one that uses one in the kitchen. ;)

I will add that is a huge frog. I don't get them near that big when out on the lakes in the airboat.

I spend lots of time on the Gulf. About half my time is spent near Steinhatchee, FL which is in the middle of no where which makes it just about perfect. Where are you at if you don't mind me asking?

Not real far from you. We have a camp on the Dead Lakes, just west of the Apalachicola National Forest. It too is pretty much the middle of no where. Those frogs were gigged in sloughs in the river swamp around the Apalachicola River, just south of our camp. The frogs in that area are the biggest I've seen, and I've gigged them all up and down the Apalach and Chipola rivers. I don't know if it genetics or the abundance of prey, but they get big, and yummy.
