My pastor who is also one of my closet friends made me this beautiful Maple bowl specifically to dump my EDC into. He is an amazing man and craftsman. He has earned his living doing everything from blacksmithing to factory work. He has also supported his family by running a trap line. What do you think?

When you said "bowl" I was thinking of something completely different. :D Now I kinda feel like packing a bowl of herb right now.

Being serious now, that is a finely carved bowl. Nice man to make you one.

It's nice to see someone get such a quality present. I've always thought handmade presents made by the giver are the most thoughtful.

Nice one George, a good bowl movement is also very rewarding. :D

[Sorry, couldn't resist.... seriously, awesome gift!]

Me not so much with spelling:) Thanks guys. I am very proud of it.- George

And to answer those who have messaged me, if you are interested in one, send me an email to mercop27@gmail.com and I will put you in touch with him. If by saying this I am breaking a forum rule please advise me. I only wish I could make this stuff then I could quit dancing.- George

Bought it at a show, not sure if it is AG Russel but I love this damn wallet. Tough as woodpecker lips and hold all my ID, creds, about 6 bank/CC cards, the Crawford CC knife I redesigned for them and about five business cards on the back.- George

What a cool gift, NICE.

And Thanks for pushing me over the edge, wanted a stingray wallet from AG for a while now.
Been nursing along a hammered water buffalo wallet too long.
Ordering today.

DC :)

Very nice piece of hand craftsmanship.

Congratulations, that is a very fine gift that will be with you the rest of you life. You have a good friend and pastor there!

Used to be the case that if you drove south from St. Louis, down into the southern Missouri area, you'd run into a sign every few miles advertising "Walnut Bowls".... A sort of cottage industry from the local timber operations.
I have no idea if this is still a going concern...As I understand it, huge areas of timber are now being "harvested" for the pulp-mill industry.

very nice! one of the things I miss about high school wood shop; turning on the lathe!

So glad this wasn't about "packing" a bowl.
