Pre order is for collectors only right now. That’s all I know.

Now hopefully I can nab myself a back up. I have a bad feeling they're going to be a bit more than $130, though. That's what my mini in M390 ran me. One of the best knives I've ever bought.

Oh damn, you got me excited! Well even if a new Ritter grip isn't coming out, his blade profile is one of my favorites. Whatever they stick it on should be a really good knife.

Do we know for sure that these are being produced by Benchmade?

Idk there’s another thread discussing them with a link to a page from knife works. On that page there is a preview which just shows a closeup of the thumbstud where we can see abit that ritter shaped blade spine and a picture of an odd circular thing.

Someone said that circle looks like a Paul lock and speculated Gerber might be making them. I said Lonewolf (under benchmade) used to make knives with Paul locks like the Lonewolf defender.

If it is a paul lock I will definitely be making this my first ritter.

I got the email just stating this:

Ever since Benchmade told Doug Ritter they were ceasing production of the RSK™ Mk1 he's been working on a new RSK™ folder. We are very excited that Doug just signed off on the final pre-production prototype. Blades are already being cut from sheets of Böhler M390, small parts are being machined, composite handles being produced…we're only 30-60 days from actually having stock of the First Production run according to the manufacturer!

This from Knifeworks ... but didn't see a mention of who is producing the knives?

and no pictures yet just a reserve system for collectors to pick their linited "number" ...

then after a bit it would be opened for everyone to place orders.

I'm not sure if Benchmade is making this or not. Since the past Ritter folders were associated with BM, I figured this would be the place to put this. When we find out it's not a Benchmade, I'll close this thread...
