Notice anything odd???

Well, I was taking a good look at my custom shoppe 110 before I put it up for sale. I then noticed something rather unique about my knife. I have not seen anything like this in a while.

Unfortunately, my 110's do not get as much pocket time as I would like, so this went unnoticed.

Cool. I've not seen any out of the custom shop with an inverted stamp. I'd keep it.

If not more...Somebody here collects mis-strikes and such...(I thought it was 334dave)... :confused:

Maybe you should get an opinion from Larry Oden about this one...

i ordered this one on march 30th and it was shipped april 18th. the order number is 172660. this will give you guys a possible time frame of others.

when i received this and looked at it (never opened it, lol), i put it right back in the box. i put it back because i was kind of disappointed. there were slight scratches on the bolsters from a not so perfect polish job. i was going to send it back, but it didn't bother me that much.

yesterday, i carried it for the first time. i actually cut a couple envelopes too. still, never noticing the stamps.

wow, it would have sucked if i put it up for sale and didn't notice, lol.
 
I know Dave has some inverted stamped Damascus blades from the CS, but that's the first S30V I've seen. Stuff like that keeps collecting interesting.

Yeah, that $75 extra would have pushed your $4.00 bid way up there... :D
 
I have two inverted not ment too be BUCK knives...
One is a 1986 date coded. BuckMaster 184..SUPER rare
The whole stamp is upside down. So if you slammed the BuckMaster in a stump you could read it. Just like the old BUCK's.
The other one is a 880 Strider/BUCK Spear point ,G-10 handles, ATS-34 blade..Same thing the whole stamp that says Strider/BUCK is reversed so if placed in a stump you could read it. However the other side with Boss ATS-34 is normal.. Still way cool.
I wouldn't sell them for anything. I personally think $75 plus is a low ball and not becuase I have two. I am not good with picture posting so I will change my avitar to this reverse stamp 184. For you BCCI members i will have better pictures of this reversed stamp. It will be located in the Model section under BuckMaster 184 of the BCCI site in a few weeks. I need to finish dates and amounts produced then ship the doc to John.

but that is joe selling an odd knife

I ordered the same knife back in march ,With the brass Bolsters. Mine has the inverted stamp on the s-30v too. I took delivery of it around the week after my april 10th B-day, So It's in the same time frame . I just figured the inverted stamp was standard with the CS knives, as this is my first Custom ordered Buck.

yes seaplane any time some thing not normal shows up
some gota have it..
some like my brother only collect the odd or other wise little known bucks
some like me like to have them but
that T on the wrong side ... i sold it as it dont show in my displays
i dont go after the ones with etching on the wrong side either..
and i dont do harldy davidson knives ..
now that another has shown up
that says it was not a fluke
there could be quite a number of them ..
we wont know unless
the dark and all powerfull

that is untell joe reads this and looks in to it..

With guys like us e-mailing him, I've seen him take longer than a week.But then he has his department to run, doing some work himself,the clubs house keeping stuff and kids and wife and life.So, he does good to answer in a week.DM
 
joe is soooo cool headed and bussy
no way i could ever , ever do a job like he has..
jest am not as cool as he is .....
