I am surprised an auction site that big can't stop something as obvious as a seller of a U.S.A. product with hundreds of items listed as being U.S.A. manufactured in their auction listings, cross-reference to and investigation of an identical listing with a different manufacturing location in their listing. It is such a simple program and would stop this blatant counterfeiting.

I reported the item, but it still sold.

Hard to believe, but some people will actually lie to get your money.

And others will blatantly ignore trademark etc. laws and allow this junky stuff to be sold. There are a couple of countries that totally ignore such laws and create problems for other country's businesses and employees. Ticks me off!

I have reported several listings on eBay and not one of them were taken down. I will not buy Spydercos on eBay anymore for this reason. At first it was the PM2 that were the common fakes but I have seen fake/"replicas" of various other models show up on certain other not so great online stores.

It's gotten so bad I buy Spyderco and other American name brand knives only at authorized dealers. Buying on the secondary market can be a crap-shoot since even a trusted, legitimate enthusiast might buy and pass on a fake unknowingly.

What can we sell to these countries that is a counterfeit of their exports? Alls fair in love and war!
