Subject: Chuck Buck has passed away

Friends,
Many of you may already know this but Chuck Buck left this world late Friday night to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our loss is Heaven's gain and he will be missed greatly. Funeral arrangements are pending and I expect them to be made public sometime Monday. Please keep Lori, CJ, Heidi, Marilee, Joe and the rest of the Buck family in your prayers. Obviously, there are also many Buck Knives employees who are greatly saddened by Chuck's passing. He was loved by so many and a highly respected man. The entire cutlery world has lost an icon.

BCCI members, the March newsletter is at the printer. The June issue will primarily consist of tributes and remembrances of Chuck. I encourage you to email your thoughts, stories and remembrances to John (or me) for inclusion in that issue. We have lost a friend whose support was incalculable.

Best regards,
Larry

Will post other info when I receive it.

If you wish to tell a Chuck Buck story lets put them all here so John and Larry can pick them for newsletter. If you already posted a good one please copy and move to this thread for ease of gathering.... I bet a few of you up in the factory area will attend funeral, if you could make some kind and discrete photos for the rest of us to view, it would be appreciated. 300

This is a good suggestion as many of us are a long ways from Idaho and have prior comments. So, please respectfully, tastefully help us pay our last respects to an old friend. Thanks, David & Leesa

I didnt know Mr. Chuck Buck or ever had the pleasure to meet the man. But I felt like I knew him through his messages, his videos, and through my fellow members here. He felt like a Grandfather that was hardened by years of hard work yet had a soft heart. The kind of man we blue collar folks hope to grow up and be like.

My heart and prayers go out to CJ and Joe and their families. We're thinking about you.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse; www.samaritanspurse.org; or by calling 1-800-528-1980. Please ask that the call be directed to donations in honor of Charles T. Buck.

Also the Sportsman Channel will re-run the show "Edge of a Legend" about Mr. Buck on Next Thursday and Next Saturday the 19th and 21st.

Only time I have ever met him. Had this signed at the show back in '09. He was fun to talk to and will be greatly missed in the knife world.

I carried a Buck 110 every day in the Army. It was one of the first things I bought when I went on active duty. When I retired, that Buck 110 retired even though it has many more years to go than me.

My condolences to the Buck family. The knife world has lost a legend; the nation, a great patriot; the military, a great friend.
