Is there a way that I can be notified when someone replies to a post I have made ?

Yes, sort of. Find "Thread Tools" just above the first post and "Subscribe to this Thread". This will notify you when anyone replies, including to you. You can select how you will be notified. I use "Through my control panel only". You can get an instant or daily email notice.
Incidentally, you can go to Settings (upper right) to General Settings (left side) to Default Thread Subscription Mode, as I do, and automatically subscribe to every thread I post in.
Also if you auto-subscribe, when you go to Settings, you can click to View All Subscribed Threads. Periodically, you may want to go there to delete excess or all old subscriptions.
