Recently I've not been getting an alert for when I'm mentioned in a thread SteveC

I didn't change anything in my settings. I did double check and I have that box checked in my settings. Any ideas as to fix it ?

That’s normal. I believe you can opt out of it by going under alert preferences. Click on your name in the top right.

Normal to not get them ? Up until very recently I would get an alert at the top of the page when someone quoted me or mentioned me. Now I only get an alert when quoted but not when mentioned ? I would like to be alerted for that and like I said I have that box checked so I should be getting an alert but I'm not.

In your first post are you saying that you’re not getting alerts anymore? If you have your preferences set to alert you in all those situations and it’s not that’s odd.

I'd estimate I get them 3 out of 4 times. I figured it may be the way posters type out the @ + membername. I'm never sure if there should be a space in there or not.

My recent experience has been similar.

I was mentioned in this thread but did not get an alert.

Yes, I’ve stopped getting notification alerts for when any of my watched threads have been updated with new posts.

This has been happening since yesterday morning.

I hadn’t changed any settings.

I’ve tried basic troubleshooting like logging out and back in again.

I’ve tried unticking the options then saving, then reticking all the same notification boxes I always have on and saving again, in an effort to kickstart the proper notifications, but it still doesn’t seem to be working.

Not sure if I’ve missed something, or if there is some glitch at work, but all the correct options seem to be properly selected.

Edit: Ok, I seem to be getting some notifications now. I'm not sure if they reflect all the threads I should be getting them for, but at least some are coming through, where before it was nothing.
