I have been watching a few different sword vids recently on you tube and what not.
And thinking of all the noto you have seen performed who really stands out with purely beautifull technique.
I know every school has it's own little variations with speeds, angles, side on, straight up etc.

The reason I am asking is because I have been looking at my own technique and it's really very bland, and as smooth as it feels, when viewed on video, it actually very...
Boom boom boom if you know what I mean.

So if you have a video of the one that made you go wow, can ya please share it with me.

I'm a hack in almost every sense of the word, but just for a lark check out nease knives on youtube.com. Apologies for my irreverence; I worship only the cut.

Would I be better asking you guys how I can improve my noto by first putting a you tube vid up?

No, you'd be better asking about teachers in your area ;).
Not only is it essentially impossible to teach, it's impossible to critique only with the video.
It really requires both, but the video is an extra - person-to-person is really the only way.

I know and understand what your saying here, but I left my school for a reason.
I may again look for a school in a couple of years but right now I am more working on multiple things, trying to improve things my own way.
I know theres a thousand people who will try and flame that. Go ahead.

I am trying to understand more what is going on with each and every movement and develop my own collaboration of forms based on my personal philosophy.

Thanks anyway though
