I know of Donald Bell(Bell Knives), and Peter Wile, but that's about it.

Are there others I'm unaware of?

I'd love to get in touch with just such a "seasoned pro" and possibly arrange a visit for a bit of socializing and maybe a tip or two.

Thanks for the help.

Grohmann knives of Pictou, Nova Scotia are the only ones I know of. They're a production knife maker, though; not sure if that's what you're looking for.

You can do a factory tour of the Pictou knifeworks. Just make sure you have at least 4 people though:confused: I was there with the GF and we were pretty psyched to see the factory. They told us we needed 4 people for a tour:grumpy: Other than that is was pretty cool.

Thanks guys. We have a farm about 10 min drive from Grohmann in Pictou. It is a great place for a tour and the shop foreman and I have become friends.

I'm particularly interested in custom makers in the province.... possibly Cape Breton, where we live most of the year.

While searching the www I ran across a link to Blade Forums and the name "Liam Ryan" who posted several years ago. My forum status does not allow for a search...., is this person still a member here?
