That's absolutely beautiful. What are the dimensions and weight? Will it have specific use or is it a general purpose axe?

Is a bit of scandinavian, romanian etc. and is the first of two medium outdoor/all around axes for two brothers!
Cutting edge around 6 inch and the weight is around 1.3 pounds.

I love that axe Leaon, very very nice. Can't wait to see it finished.

Regards

Robin

Awesome Leon! Thanks for the pics, that's some good axe porn right there. Show us your future projects if you've got time.

Those are so nice, wish you lived closer. Thanks for the pictures Leon.

Best regards

Robin

Thank you all for your kind words and appreciation.
It seems that the owner appreciates them and wants another two, so I come back soon with news!
Have a nice Sunday!:)

Thanks, the eyes are taken from droped forged low carbon axes. The blades are 1095 carbon steel forged by me and electric welded on those eyes. After this I grind the weld and finish the general design of the axe and temper only the blade. In the end I normalize the head for 1 1/2 - 2 hours at 482 F (250 C). I must obtain a dark brown color (so the blade will not chip, but will keep a good edge).

Next time I will try to make a WIP on this procedure.
