You know, like the hair comb switchblades? Those count. Even though they're combs.

Do you have any particularly creative/cool/funny ones? Seen any absolutely awful or bizarre knives/blades?

I have a tube of lipstick that uncaps and screws out to be a knife. It is of poor quality and the knife is embedded into some piece of plastic. I may be able to prolong its life with superglue or something.

If I use my 007 Agent imagination, I can come up with one or two situations where this might actually save my life , but...

I have come across certain knives that I probably shouldn't even talk about, but I wish I could, because they were so absurd.

We have the tacticlol thread that is filled with dumb mind blowing knives! :D

Had a hair comb switch blade, bought it when I was like 5 or 6 from a Stuckey’s restaurant...which I still had it..
Took it to school and one of the teachers thought it was cool and only said to not play with it during class, this was back around 1972-73. Nowadays a kid would likely be suspended at least, likely expelled.

There are way too many knives that fit this category to begin listing them.

I don't know, I kind of see tacticlol as a different animal than simply ridiculous. Tacticlol is a kind of seri-comedy, kind of how Rusty Venture thinks he is a serious scientist. It's like a Venn Diagram with Ridiculous on one side, Tactical on the other, and that sweet intersection in between. Way back in my college days, a young woman was playing with her pen and accidentally popped the cap off the concealed blade inside--I had seen that one in the Atlanta Cutlery catalog a while back, so it wasn't surprising. It was this super thin blade, good for a good shank or 2 but that was it. Not tactical, but certainly ridiculous. Oh, and Troma Productions made a movie with a switchblade surfboard, a true Icon of the Ridiculous. Good times.

My first “custom” knife was one of these. I took an old letter opener and broke the blade off and shoved it in where the comb goes. Needless to say it didn’t turn out to well. I think I was probably around 10 at the time.
