Will there be a novermber izula contest? it looks like a half year ago or something there were more contests. is that true?

Wow...

It's only 4 days into November. The moderators have lives outside this forum, be patient. And there are at least 2 contests ongoing right now, have at 'em!
 
Amazing....

We all know that Tony and Shotgunner have no lives outside of RAT Cutlery. And we all know that RAT Cutlery does not give away enough knives and product, or have enough contests!

If it happens it happens. If it doesn't, well they've given out WAY more product than any other company I know! So be grateful for the opportunities you've had so far. Never look a gift horse in the mouth and all that. ;)

Jeff, mods, and everyone else who's done a giveaway on here in the past: Thanks for everything you've done. I don't know a more generous little corner of the internet. :thumbup:
 
I guess now we can't sleep until everyone has their RAT pack knife AND they've won a contest. Hmmm who knew?

Uhm ... just a quick glance over this forum would have revealed to the original poster, that right now the heads of all people involved with RAT Cutlery and forum organisation are stuck deeply within the moloch the forum knife turned out to be.

Another glance would have revealed that there are some contests going as well, so people can take part and win some RAT Cutlery stuff, only they have to do something for it.
 
I would say get out your flame suit but for something like that, let it burn!

Maybe I can attempt to salvage this trainwreck by saying to RAT (and all parties involved in the contests and giveaways we have here) that I really appreciate it. I haven't won anything but any company that gives away products to customers shows that maybe it's not ALL about the money.

RAT would continue to do just fine if they never had another giveaway or contest and just kept making quality products and having great customer service. Don't take it for granted.

ETA: I agree, I don't think the OP meant it the way it was laid out. Rule #247 of the Message and Email Hanbook: Never inject tone in to the written word.

Agreed.

I think a lot of it comes from "feeling" it's the norm. I'm not positive but I'd guess the op wasn't trying to sound greedy or ungrateful.
 
I believe anyone on this forum is free to set up some form of give away/ contest.
If a contest is what you’re desiring then put up some prizes and set the demands.
Do you have a Rat you’re going to pitch in?

I agree, I think it was just an innocent question, even though it looked a bit like a kick me sign. We all do it at one point or another though.

To all those involved in the contests and giveaways, you're all awesome, thanks for being so incredible.

Talk about RUDE!!!! Get some manners!!!!

If RAT decides to hold a contest or not then so be it. The folks that run them do have lives and other commitments IRL to deal with.

If you really want an Izula, then buy one. They are worth it.

I for one will be buying RAT product till either I or the company are gone. They are that good.
 
I'd like to give this dude the benefit of some doubt. The poor choice of language might be due to somewhat of a language, he's from Belgium. And for not understanding board mechanics and protocol - he's clearly a noob - only 81 posts under his belt. Heck, I think I had an infraction at that point.

If you look there are three (3) ongoing contests, what more do you want?
Check the other manufacturer's forums and tell me how many give aways there are :rolleyes:
Given how large the rat pack has grown you are better off trying to win one
of the ongoing contests than having your RP# picked in a monthly drawing IMO.

I don't think he ment to be rude, I think he was looking to see if there was a contest and couldn't find it. Lots of folks pop in at the beginning of each month yo sign up and then head off.... when they don't see the contest, it confuses them, and they really don't want to read the other posts to try and track it down.... just to time consuming to be involed with all the chatter about RC products ya know. :)

I suspose I shouldn't talk, because I won an RC kit recently, but even before that, going back to when it was on the website, the RC gang was always giving stuff away. So I can understand that if one hits the site, then comes in and see the Oct winner, one might wonder what was up with the Nov contest.

Anyways..... maybe since he has now been flamed and kicked a few times, we can just step back and welcome into the forum, and he too can become addicted for life. As Mrs Shotty said in the other thread, things have gotten kind of tense around here recently and we need to get back on track to enjoying the RC Products, adventures, and having a good time.
