I bought a Gillette SS (not received yet), but now will need blades.
I realize everyone is different and will have favorites.
Where can I get good blades at a good price and not get gouged on shipping cost?
I ask because I am not working (was in a bad accident and still waiting for a disability hearing, back broke in 4 places plus a bunch of other things, really add's up)

Is it better to just buy a bunch or a smaller quantity?
I mean, does the edge degrade over time because or rust, etc?
I have read of mild and aggressive shaves, is it the shaver or the blade?
Does a sharper blade give a better shave? mild? aggressive? etc???
How can you tell what blades are what?
Is there a review site for blades?

Thanks for the help guys:)

I have had excellent service from www.westcoastshaving.com.

They offer some blade sampler packs which are a great way to start out.

I think everyone should try at a minimum Dorco ST-301, Derby, Bic Chrome Platinum, and Feather. Those four are widely available and a good range of mild to agressive.

Eventually, for best price, you will want to order by the hundred. Stored in a dry place, blades will keep fine for decades, so this is no problem. And it's one less thing to have to pick up at the store all the time.

Thanks:)
I found- 100 "DERBY EXTRA" STAINLESS DOUBLE EDGE RAZOR BLADES
For $10. Is that a good price? It is sure less than buying 100 disposables, LOL!!
Have you used this blade?

The price you quoted was very reasonable it you like the Derby blades. I suggest trying a sample pack from any of the online shaving websites to be able to test shave with a wide variety of blades to see which ones suit your razor\face\shaving style.
