Oh boy, while im asking about washers getting lube. What about on BOTH sides of the bushing or just the inside. Does the blade turn on the bushing or does the bushing spin on the pin. We are all friends here dont hate me for asking.:D

Unless you use a corrosive lube, it is not going to hurt anything and I lube both sides...realistically, the tolerances are so close that you can re-assemble with no lube and the knife will still be smooth. It is the only folder I have found can do this with the exception of the Titanium Kershaw Starkey Ridge.

I just spent about a half hour cleaning my classic large micarta. I tried both ways, lubing just one side of the washers and putting it back together and lubing both sides and putting it back together and I get better results lubing both sides. Lubing both sides also has the advantage of making the blade slide easier into the handle!  :D

I lube both sides in the hope that it may prevent galling. I've had other ti products produce galling with other metals. Then I got a lube that prevents it -- it contains copper.
