Well different for me anyway. I was approached by a promotions company to produce a bar tenders kit for a major Whisky brand. Paring knife, mint snips and a peeler. All out of 12c27 stainless. Not my design by the way, only modification I made was the spring on the snips. One set down 15 sets to go! Thanks for looking and comments welcome. I'll post up the complete bar set as soon as its done.
Cheers Keith

Pretty cool, Keith. I like it. A thought--If it is the correct size, the hole in the handle for the snips could double as a bottle opener. You might want to round the ends of the blades of the snips & make it so it would remain closed until needed as snips so it could be carried in a back pocket of your pants. [Most of the bartenders that I know like to keep a bottle opener handy in their back pocket.]

Also, I would recommend that the handle material be as water proof & tough as possible. Either stabilize the wood or use a synthetic. :) Bartenders aren't going to take care of their equipment very well and it will get immersed in water frequently so make it as maintenance free as possible.

All my best,

Gary

Hi Gary, thanks for the comments mate. I had no say in the design apart for the spring in the snips. The tools actually go into a block as part of a package deal so to speak. As I stated earlier these are for a promotion of the whisky (a give away competition of some sort) Its all a little to fancy for my taste, I mean the only thing I put into whisky is ice, just as Bill Burke and Eric Fritz instructed me:eek:
Cheers Keith

gotta watch out for that Bill Burke- last year's Seattle show saw a Burke subsidized quadruple rum and coke in my hands, and between that and Diskin, everything went downhill from there!

nicely down bit of kit there, bro!
