After much much deliberation i just purchase A BRAND NEW ESEE-4 (please read the last part in the voice of the announcer in Price is right :D)
I just could not leave my Izula alone for the holidays, poor little thing... :D

I'm so happy, i can barely wait, I really believe the hardest part is just waiting for the darn thing. I just want to get it and to put it at work.

At least, i will have some time to think about which one is the next on the list. So far i do have the HEST folder that is way up there and the ESEE-6 is looking at me funny but i could just be me.

Congrats! I didn't want my Izzy to feel lonely so I made the same purchase...

Loonatic,

The 4 is a great knife. You'll love it. With it and my Wetterlings "pocket Axe" I can do all kinds of stuff. If you didn't get a custom grip from Dale I strongly recommend it.

God bless,
Adam

Can't wait for you to get it either - really want to hold it so I can come to my final decision. Get it or Junglas right over the rest.

BRING ON THE ZOMBIES

Must not listen to the little voice in my head saying "just get both".....:o

Agreed. At first the the final clicking of the "Confirm Order" button is really exciting. But then the suspense mounts as you wait for that doorbell to ring with the mailman.

But this suspense is so often anti-climactic when they leave a note for attempted delivery without actually ringing your doorbell

However, eventually there is the :D:D:D moment ripping open that package... smelling that distinct ESEE rust preventative coating.... slicing that first piece of paper.... mmmmmmm :p

I just bought a hest as well and now I can't wait!
This to me, is the most difficult time.
Plus I wont get them till next weekend. Bah!!

The scent of their rust repellant and the fresh micarta is a special cocktail that makes me spontaneously have fits of grunting and chest pounding.

The smell is intoxicating. It definitely ranks up there with the scent of paper back books.

Oh yeah, gotta love that smell. I totally loved the smell of the 6 the best, Loonatic you ow it to yourself to smell the 6 NEXT !!!!!!:D

Yes, as one of my favorite songwriters and artists (Tom Petty) once said, "The waiting is the hardest part." Congratulations on your purchase. I think ESEE knives are excellent tools and everyone needs at least a couple.

I've been on a bit of a knife buying spree lately, as this year my disposable cash seemed to all pile into the end of the year. I bought an Izula, a 3-MIL and a 5 in the space of a couple of months. I also got a couple of other items and each time the anticipation was palpable.

After I got my ESEE-3 MIL I decided I liked the smell of Tuf-Glide (and it's rust inhibiting properties) so much that I got some and now all my knives smell like that! It's an illness.... God help us all!

It's been a stressful year at my house, so I've definitely indulged in some ESEE and Benchmade therapy.
