Anyone we know??

Jamison Stone's father says the hog his son killed weighed a 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. Think hams as big as car tires

He said he shot the huge animal eight times with a .50-caliber revolver and chased it for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot.

Nah. A true HOG would have used that PBF on the exchange for the kill. LOL

BTW - photo is not true. He's WAAAAY behind the pig. There was a discussion on Glocktalk about it last week. Huge pig, but not THAT huge. That thing appears to be the size of a VW Bug. EEEK!

NOT TRUE!!!???? Ahhh man...I just sent that off to my hunting buddies! Damn...I'm going to hear about this one!

less untrue than a distortion of reality. the hog is in the foreground, the shooter in the far background. because both are in focus, they appear closer to each other than they are.

if i, or anyone i was with, shot a hog that large, there would be many more photos from varying angles available.

both this one, and hogzilla, only have ONE photo which we can view.

Now that is one huge pig!!! As with Finkenstein I highly doubt that it is real. It would definately be in the record book as the biggest and baddest. Hell if I shot something that huge I would take tons of pictures from multiple angles and make sure that lots of witnesses are around to confirm.

Ya - I too am a skeptic of the pic at least. I grabbed the story off of FOX and CNN even has it - both credit the AP wire. Could well be a hoax. That pig look just too big to be possible. The range he would need, food supply, time spent eating etc... Just does not add up.

But cool to look at for sure!

If he had been carrying an FBM he wouldn't have had to shoot it eight times... Reminds me of this one
