307 Wrangler with Buck tang & Camillus shield.

Some of this sellers auctions in the past have raised my eyebrows.

Thanks for the heads-up, TLC! ;) I put in a bid...

What did this guy have up for auction that made you curious/incredulous???

He seems to have a lot of Camillus made Buck "seconds", especially an endless supply of Grand-daddy Barlows.

I've often wondered if he worked for Camillus?????

A Search for Buck 307 turns up a fair number; they seem to go for around $35 - $45 according to TLC... :(

CT, I am glad you bid on it now I won't 'Have' too. When it comes in, one of your good photos would be appreciated by me for BCCI model history project. I figured he went to a close-down sale or worked there...300$s

If it goes over $60, I'm outta there... ;) ...Maybe... :D

He says it was part of "the Camillus auction", implying he went to the auction of the factory assets after bankruptcy...and supposedly has a lot of "seconds" (like the knives lacking the Camillus shields on the scales)...

I asked a question (I always do), but no answer yet...

I just noticed in this listing, he says he got this one in the Camillus auction. Maybe that's where he got so many Buck seconds???

Ooops, trax musta been typing just as I was!

Are they seconds??? I only looked at the one Camillus with the missing shield..."second" he called it...

Hahahaha!!! That's funny!!! They ground off the "Buck" on the blade, but left it stamped on the bolster!!! :D

In the past, he has sold several grand-daddy Barlows that had "Buck" on the bolster, but something ground off of the tang, in fact he has one up right now. Calls them "seconds".

Of course we are all just speculating and shootin' the bull, but my vote in this election season is factory sale. I remember someone mentioning that same deal in a oddball knife sale that was a semi-buck a while back. At least they were honest about it. That guy has been selling those grand-daddy seconds for a long time. Good Luck Trax hope you get it so I get some all angle pics.

Besides the 317 and big barlows the Calif. Toothpicks have longer blades.

300$s
