Never had much interest in neckers. Why hang a little knife off your neck when you can clip a big one just as easily to your pocket or belt. But sometimes those other options don't work. And when I saw Alan Folts' Minimalist neck knife, I had to try it out.

Alan does flawless work: perfect fit and finish and a handle designed to disappear into your hand. It weighs nothing on the neck, and is always at the ready, even when invisible under your shirt. The blade is perfectly functional.

Now I get it.

Here's Alan's black-and-tan Minimalist with my biggest knife, Busse's new Bush Whacker Battle Mistress, which is a whole 'nother animal.

I am a fan of neck knives. That is my preferable place for the izula. I find it a very comfortable way to carry a knife that is bigger than I want in my pocket. I am one of those weird people that does not like to carry much stuff on my person (this probably seems foreign to most folks on here- I have seen pics of the many mobile arsenal emptied out of pockets!!) That is a nice neck knife!

I wasn't really even familiar with neck carry until I started hearing about the Izula. Eventually I had to have one though even then I didn't really plan on carrying it around my neck. Now that I've found what works for me (kydex and ball chain), I don't go anywhere without my Izula necker style. Nice little blade Twindog.

I've loved the look of those since I saw CRKT's version, this is the first time I've seen the custom version, sweet. I love neckers, but I'm extremely tactile defensive around my neck, so I can only wear them when I'm wearing a shirt with a collar and can put the chain/cord under the collar -- I can't let it touch my skin or I go insane.
