Now I have to get one

I got called into work yesterday. WHY? Because my coworker cut his hand and went to the ER. I knew it was pretty serious, because we get cut a lot in there and almost never leave. I recall once he cut of the tip of his index finger with the Practical Plus Wakizashi from Hanwei. He taped it up with some napkins and that was that. So just that he left, I knew it had to be bad.
I got there and it turns out we just go Swords in! We put in an order with CAS last week and amazingly, they already arrived. Included were the large Barong and the Pinute.
Wow. The photos I had seen did come close to doing the Pinute justice. The finish on the handle was superb! It felt fabulous. Oh, it was sharp! Then I look down at our ONE CHAIR to see that it is stained with blood all over. Apparently he was wiping oil off the blade of the Barong and it cut right through the cloth and the webbing between his thumb and index finger. It just started spurting.
But now I definately need one of these swords. Both are very nice, and I'm having trouble making a decision.
I highly recomend handling these as none of the photos due them any justice. Score one for the physical retail establishment!

I highly recommend handling these with care. I've gotten nipped, fortunately not badly, wiping off blades. You really have to focus on wiping from spine to edge and not parallel to the edg ... yipe!

Good thinking! I hope the guy recovers quickly. (Who gets to clean the chair?)

Why? Ya wanna buy the chair? :p
ROFLMFAOWMPAMAAABSUMA!!!!!
But seriously, we sprayed so much bleach on that chair. I was just bummed because I couldn't sit down the rest of the night.
About us getting cut: Yeah, it's a problem. Couple days ago I went into one of the Henckles drawer. I set my hand down to hold myself up and realize that my hand doesn't feel quite right. Sure enough, somone left the two chef knives edge up and i was leaning on them. I made sure to lift myself straight up so as to not get two nasty cuts accross my palm.

Note to self. If ever working in knife shop, use caution. :D

I can't say anything, I was closing my Flash II and sliced one side of my thumb, several hours later, opening my Trident TF2, and sliced the other side of the thumb. Nothing bad, but very embarassed. Thankfully, for this diabetic, can't even see either cut!

Attention is the only thing you have to pay... Never gotten a stitch due to work :p

Besides, we just use duct tape and krazy glue up here

Er... er... what kind of chair?

I was kind of hoping that I could buy all the things your apparently accident-prone coworker has cut himself on...

Well then, I hope you are ready to buy a Hanwei Practical Plus Wakizashi (Cut of finger tip), a Benchmade Sequal (accidentally stabbed the door, trying to put it back in the case. Long cut accross his index finger.), Hanwei Barong, Forchner 10" chef knife (He refuses to explain that one to me), a linerlocking Fury that closed on him during a spinewack test (I don't even want to get into that one) SOG Tigershark, and a shattered chess set.
And that's just what we still have in stock!
I don't think this would be as hillarious if he wasn't a knife smith.
But yeah, I'll cut you a deal.
