I don't think the Skyline has enough variants, so I swapped out some DLC blades to make some more:

There is also a ACU Camo pattern scale, but it was never released. :(

I carry the bottom two most of the time (black on black and silver on tan). One for dark pants, one for light. My wife makes fun of me for having matching accessories. :D

I picked up these after market GID scales. Since then they came out with a camo pattern GID and black scale. I'll probably get that one too.

I sure hope they make some more Skyline Damascus knives (1760DAM). It was my first Kershaw knife and my EDC, and I lost it. Lesson learned, next time I'll buy two! :thumbup:

Well, the green is brighter, but looks a touch yellow when it's not 'charged up'. The blue is a cleaner white but not as bright. I found that once I had them I didn't want to EDC them much and dirty up the white scales. (There's probably a reason you don't see many white scales :)) Kryptoglow since came out with a camo/GID scale, as I mentioned above. When I have the funds, I'll probably pick that up and try it out as an EDC because I don't think the dirt will show as much.

To answer you question: I do like them but they have turned out to be more of a novelty than I expected. I prefer user blades.

The scales cost as much as a vanilla Skyline. I'd really rather buy some more official Kershaw variants, even if they cost twice or three times a vanilla Skyline.

Good luck finding a DAM Skyline, and throw me a line if you find more than one. :D

The Red never really appealed to me, but I never knew about the Orange! Where are those from & are they still available?
 
I found a couple DAM Skylines just by pure dumb luck. They haven't arrived yet, but bobpoptart I'll PM you when/if they do.

I understand they are available at the Cabala's retail stores, but not online. I don't live near one (Alaska), so I was calling and having a friend check a Utah store from me. That hasn't panned out, however it looks like they were available at the warehouse sale and Kershawguy picked a few up. Look up his site or find him on the forums. I bought two and though they have the "XXXX" mark on the blade to indicate they are blemished knives, they look perfect to me.

I let my nephew pick a Skyline for Christmas and he took the Halloween one (orange and black). So, I'm picking up a couple more. Hurry before they're gone! Or maybe you live by a Cabala's and it's no problem. Either way, good luck!

I saw the Skyline Damascus in stock at a web store, not too cheap though. If you PM me (I don't have PM yet) I can tell you the URL.
