When I frist lurked on this forum, I noticed how genuine excitement seem to radiate from almost every post. Also, there seem to be a marked absence of gripes and nit-picks about the knives themselves. In fact, The greatest worry seem to be which Busse model to buy next.

Now, I too, have slipped into Busse Habitual Compulsive Disorder.

I just spent hours playing with every Busse on PapaThud's show table. The full basic and combat lines, Mr. Mojo, varients, the yet-to-be-named six inch model, and a Busse custom Wakazashi, all were pawed. OOOHH My.......

Now I know why you guys get so excited.

I promised the Chief Family Financial Officer that I would'nt buy any knife. Well... Ya' know what's cool 'bout the assualt shaker? You can sneak it into the house, while the Inspection Officer kisses you AND pats you down.

PapaThud was a very gracious host, extending his knowledge and wares to a neophyte.

My blade buying process is now simplified -- At least I'll now know Who I'll buy knives from. The torment will be which model...

My thanks to all Busse forumites, because it was your posts that that peaked my interest in nuclear excitation.

Seth

Seth,
Andre's excitment is very infectious isn't it? Welcome to the compulsion. Busse's are like ruffles. Bet you can't buy just one.

His name is Seth, and he's a Busse Blade-a-holic.

In unison, gentlemen:

"Welcome, Seth."

You are now eligible for the 12 step program, which consists of buying your first dozen Busse's. I'd suggest you start with the Combat and Basic lines, and leave the variants and discontinued models until you're a little stronger.

Best wishes, and remember: It's only an addiction if you can't stop.

PS: Yeah...it's an addiction.

I think it's first time Busse attends cow palace gun shows? Never seen them before in BA.

And although I've passed beginners 12 step programm some time ago, today it was really, really, Really cool

Welcome aboard mate! Aye she's a good ship, though the crew may be a little salty.

Chip--Wandered around in your virtual warehouse, and that is one beautiful collection. Congratulations!!!

Seth--One clarifying point about the Busse 12-Step Program. Unlike programs with similar names, the B12 program is a management tool which serves to evolve the expectation levels of those around us. Since the addiction itself is incurable, you'll find that buying multiple Busse blades--and even multiple copies of the same Busse model--will elicit a potentially negative response from those around you, and especially from those who share your discretionary budget. They, of course, do not realize that these purchases are NOT discretionary. Negative responses from such persons tend to increase over the first few purchases, but by the 12th, they typically resign themselves to the fact that they are dealing with a power greater than themselves.

So getting through those first 12 purchases, while at times fraught with the agony of indecision and uncertainty, is surely worth the effort.

Happily Yours in the grip of nuclear obsession,

Will
