Now I lay me down to cheat...

I had been looking for an EDC knife that was lightweight, either 154 or s30 steel, and about 3 inches on the blade. I had also been interested in Spyderco for a long time, so I made the decision to stray from my beloved Buck for this one. I ended up ordering a carbon fiber Sage and it showed up about a week ago. I've been carrying it everyday since then. What a knife! Razor sharp out of the box, excellent lock-up (no movement what-so-ever), extremely lightweight. I just can't say enough about how impressed I am. Very well thought out, even the 'paper-clip' (which you can't see in the pic) works like a champ. It's like a $200 knife for $80 (from Amazon, now raised to $110 for some reason).

its ok man, i did exactly the opposite. ive been carrying Benchmades for better than a decade now, and thanks to the loyal members to the Buck brand on here i dug out my 2000 made 110 thats been in my box of knives for awhile, and started carrying it in my back right pocket. ive always carried my wallet in my back left due to my pistol being iwb on my right side and i dont want to accidently expose it . anyway, the 110 seemed like a paperweight, so i bought a 112 for my back pocket, and couldnt be happier. yeah, its a heavy one also, but not quite what the 110 is. sorry for the long post to make a point, but you switch away from Buck, and ive switched back, so it all balances out. :D

I have never cheated-not because I'm hi-falutent but do to lack of options-the only knives worth carrying that I have are Bucks. I dont mean this to be critical of your post, but I just dont like the spydie design or most other brands. I think its the blade shape, I dont know. It just seems with few exceptions, the Bucks all just look better to me. Just my opinion. Welcome elguapo.

Bucks and Victorinox are my two brands. I don't need to stray further to get what I need and want. Spydys are popular and no doubt well make, but I could never get used to the lizard-head look of the blades with those big 'bug eyes'. I like the more traditional look. Bucks and Victorinox are what I grew up with and they're familiar to me. To each their own. :)

I guess I may be brain-washed all the way, but I feel guilty just READING this thread. Go figure........ ~(:- }

Same here. In fact, I just ordered two of the new yellow 301's to make up for his transgressions!

He should have to wear a Scarlet "C"! :D

You picked a good one, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Variety is the spice. I enjoy Spyderco, & Emerson as well.

must admit i have looked at other knives
even handled a few at knife shows..
but the only one i ever owned other then bucks as a grown up
was a Gerber..was in instant need of a cutting tool and they had no bucks
i really liked it but it was a one of a kind with its blade steel
and i sold it for more then i paid for it and bought two and they sucked
yard sale fishing knives cheep enough to drop over board first use
are the only common cheaters i use now

it is still bucks for were i need a real knife..
the only exception i have now for that is the one
haebbie made for me
it stays on the table next to bed for .. ugh...
peeling oranges... or other emergency use..
