As some of you might know, I applied for a few opportunities to become an apprentice of Industry Mechanic. That would be 2,5 years of school and work, after which I could work as an Industry Mechanic wherever I get a job.

I had a theory test (math, logic, concentration questions) today at one of the companies that I sent my resume to, and apparently I did so well that they want to see me for another test (this time a practical test where they test my ability to work, stress resistance, etc) right away tomorrow at 0900. Of course, my BK14 will accompany me from the safe lair of my backpack.

Wish me luck! I really want that position.

Good luck, man.
Get a good night's sleep.
Then, just relax and pretend you're doing it at home.
Well, you know... without the three or four beers and the cursing.... :D

You're going to do great!

Possibly ... +2.

Seriously, you will do just fine. Take a deep breath or two and do it with a smile.

You gots good energy coming from East Tennessee, Meat. Alpha and Beta waves heading out.

Relax, get a good nights rest, and kick some ass tomorrow. Own that test, then, own the job. After that, get some good beer and a lady for the evening. :D

Good luck to you meat. May not want to wear the same get up you did in that one pic though, LOL, might scare them off. LOL :D (the one with the Becker & long coat & wild eyes) :D

Rock that thing, man. Drink plenty of water today/tonight so your brain is hydrated and happy.

Walk up like you already got the job.

Meat, glad to hear the first test went so well. Good luck tomorrow, brother. As MWTIC said above me "You got this!"

Let us know how it went!

Dude... it was exhausting. I did not expect that task at all, I had to build a little tractor (approx 8" long) from parts that I was given. I had a picture of the finished product, all the parts (probably about 20), about 30 screws, a few allen wrenches, screwdriver, a wrench. And 15 minutes.

I think I did well, the other guy who took the test with me had a model of an oldschool racing car to put together. He had it halfway done when I finished and the time was over. I made a few mistakes in the process though, things like mounting one part, then noticing that the mounted part covers the screw holes of another one, so I had to take it off again, I forgot to put some washers on the nuts that held the wheels on, little mistakes. But when the time was up I had it all put together, and there weren't any parts laying around on the table :D

Thanks for the good wishes, y'all!

No worries there Meat I think we have all gotten a bit ahead if ourselves putting stuff together. Especially when just looking at a picture. Glad it went well for you.
