Went to see my first Busse knives at Knob Creek last April.
Met a bunch of Busse fans and collectors at the booth.
Most everyone I talked to that day claimed that they used to own several brands but now owned Busse exclusively and were not interested in other brands.
I thought, "how narrow minded"
There were several of the Fusion Battle Mistress Prototypes for $799.00
I loved the knife but didn't feel like paying that much.
Heck, I could get a nice custom made to my specs for that price !
That was on Friday.
By Saturday, I wished that I had bought that big Battle Mistress Prototype but figured there was no hurry so went back on Sunday to get it.
To my dismay, I found they were all sold out.
Had no clue how popular Busse was before but found out that day.
A few weeks ago went back to Knob Creek hoping to find a FBM LE.
There were none to be had but I spied a gray bead blasted FBM with the fat blade that I liked and bought it on the spot.
I was one of the first 3 customers to reach the booth that Friday morning.
Watched one fellow pick out four knives right away that totaled around $3,400.00 and was still looking when I left
Since getting my first Busse and studying its construction, I don't believe I will ever want to buy another brand again either.
At least, not a fixed blade !!!
Sag.
