Personially I just thought that Cold Steel made a lot of "destruction proof" knives, and did some trash talking too. I didn't like most of the designs because I was getting burnt out on the "tactical fighter" craze, but now I actually want a traditional designed, slip joint.

CS makes them now

and a stockman pattern too.

I don't know about you guys but I really like it.

I always used to unfold my Grandfather's old
blackened stockman like that and pretend it
was a dog walking around or something. I love
how those knives get the living crap kicked
out of them after being carried for 20 years.

Carbon V, too....right? That is a plus...will be easy to get that pretty patina in no time. When They're out I will get one.

I was impressed when I saw them also. Then read on about the faux jigged bone scales. They deserve a little better than plastic IMO.

Very nice. I have carried a Case for years, and like it, but I think I'll give one of these a try.

Oh yeah... I'm definitely going to be looking for one of those. They are nice, even WITH plastic scales, if they are Carbon V.

Very Nice!!!

I like the Carbon V, but I'm disappointed with the "faux" bone scale rumor.

My vote will always go to natural over synthetics.
Period!!!

I mean, what's nicer than a bone handled knife anyway?

Oh yeah, a stag handled knife!!!

I was realy considering one of these until I found out about the plastci handles. I would much prefer something natural.

It looks a little tacky in the pictures, doesn't it?

But, if the knife is well-built, then just have Frank Recupero replace the plastic with some real bone, or wood, or whatever. Ice Mother of Pearl would be very nice.

It's surprisingly not that expensive to have Frank do something like this.

I bet Camillus makes them too,and probably cheaper too.
