So I ordered my first khukri like 2 and a half week ago, Uncle Bill sent it right away, express delivery. The package crosses the US and the atlantic in 1, max 2 days. Everything is just peachy. Then the customs grab it. keeping it for a week. Still understanable, it's a big knife, and swedes are nervous people. Still smelling the roses. So now Schenker got it, called them today: here's the funny part: they won't deliver it to me for another week or so! That's like over two weeks to deliver it less than 100km. It crossed the f*cking atlantic in less than 48h!!!

Don't think a blame HI, I din't. They are great people. I'm just really, really pist off right now, and felt a need tho bitch about it.
Puh, glad I got that out. Now I'm back to my happy, smiling, well adjusted (well) self again...

So 6000 miles in 2 days, and another 14 days for the last 62 miles?! Those guys sound like they would fit right into the USPS!

Hang in there, I'm sure the wait will be worth it!

Regards,

Norm

Aye right now i have been waiting a month (bit less ) for a 16.5 ww2 villager, assuming it is actualy coming.
waiting is very hard.

All of you who have governments that delay and or confiscate blades; change govenments.

Vote, Join arms orgs, write letters to the editors...
If none of that helps immigate to the US. Bring your weapons with you- we hate the empty handed.

Maybe khuks sent to some places should be lableled: "Axe, very short-handled." Somehow axes are OK (Viking axes  ) but knives are not.

Pen has shipped me stuff under the category of "toy". Each time customs has opened the box. :D

try writing "stinky dildo" on the customs form.
Maybe that will keep them from opening it and speed up delivery time!

you serious, Bruise?

I thought I was doin' you a favor....:(

What would be better?

:)

I don't think the label makes much of a difference. The stuff you sent was legal to posess. However, if you mark it as a gift (which you did), I don't get the privledge of paying duties.

No problem.

When you takin' orders again? :D

I think the label "toy" is too general a term that the nosy customs guys have to take a look. Cutlery is probably better. Stuff from Uncle Bill generally doesn't get opened. Not a big deal.

Bruise - noted and thanks.

Oh, I'm still taking orders.....just not processing them for a while...:D

:footinmou

"Tibetan Temple knives" from uncle arrive very fast and were free of customs duties (maybe because it has to do with freedom of religion) - btw how about khukuri-religion? ;)

Bruce of 1: You have my deepest symphaty, (can't spell that, but right now I don't give a rats a$$).
Update: Mailed the headoffice yesterday, gave them a piece off my mind. Today I got another letter from them, just like the one telling me I can go and get my package at the PO. So I think maybe they finally got their thumbs out and got something done. Nope, Just said (in really BIG letters, so I wouldn't miss it) that my, MY package was late. No sh!t. What kind of lacy ass, sh!t for brains retards are running this company??

Yeah, I'm mad again, just if you didn't notice ;-).

Peace, Karl.

If it's any small consolation, (and it isn't) I sent back my geniune Chinese Cleaver last week because while sharpening I noticed it was bent. I haven't got a replacement yet-

and my coffee/pepper grinder hasn't got here yet either.

;...............

A bureacracy isn't supposed to be able to make up rules. But they do. IF the blade was legal it should be in your possession by now.

(Bruise- let's make it- "Used Dildoes, HIV positive program")

Comparing a pepper grinder to a HI khukri, now isn't that blasphemy... ;-)

I don't think it's the customs that are messing with me, the knife is totally legal to import, made sure of that before I ordered...
Anyway, I don't think it would work trick them, if they see i big chunk of steel when they x-ray it, thay'll open it up. They don't x-ray everything though, might get lucky...

Maybe ship khukuri's in a plastic cooler with red cross markings on ice.
Mark it brain transplant and be chopping limbs by dinner.
;)
