Now that's a knife

Yep that is a knife lol. I hope you never drop that sheath with your knife in there on your bare foot. YIKES.

That looks like a nice, quality Khukri. Congrats! Opening the package with your SOG Agies, was cool too. ;)

Have you had a chance to use it yet? If you've never used a Khukri before, realize that there is a bit of a learning curve with them. They handle differently then most large choppers. Fun to use, once you figure them out. :)

I recently got a 16"x18OZ VUK-[Villager Ugly Knife] khukri from Himalayan Imports sub forum and love it. It's a rough finished working tool that out chops my Becker Brute and my CS Trailmaster. At the price for these it's a killer deal for a big chopping knife. And they look so cool!--KV

Ouch! That crack looks bad! Let us know how the service is.

If you live in Utah, you are welcome to stop by to check out my Khukris.

Love to Wildmanh but I'm on the east coast of Canada. Never say never hopefully they'll make it right or I'll just have to get 50 bucks worth of chopping out of her and see how it goes. Either way I will try to enjoy it.

Bummer, that knife should have never had it past even minimal quality control. Hopefully they will just mail you a new knife and let you keep that one too.

Hopefully they will replace that for you. So did they ship the knife to you from Kathmandu, Nepal or did they have it in stock and ship it from the U.S?
I'm in eastern Canada as well how, bad was the shipping cost?
I have one small decent Kukri house Kukri that i bought from a Canadian online knife retailer that is currently inactive. I was interested in some of KH's other models but didn't want the hassle and potential expense (shipping + potential brokerage fees) of buying direct from Nepal.
I did check the website of the company you list as the seller in your video, their shipping policies seem to say that if you are in the U.S they have the stock on hand and will ship it to you direct, BUT if you are international (like Canada) then they ship it straight from Nepal.

Do yourself a favor an buy a Himalayan Imports Kukri. All knives come from Reno NV. The owner (Yangdu) has a forum here and sells several blades each week at a discount.

I like your attitude! :) Please keep us posted.

The shipping was very good / fast 10 bucks to Canada from Kathmandu to Canada. I have deep respect for the Nepalese be it a sherpa or Ghurka they are the toughest most unassuming people in the world. Hopefully they get me a new knife but frankly the idea that most of the money (which wasn that much $60) went to that region is reason enough to buy another (with out the crack!).

Sweet knife indeed, I got one a couple of years back. When I was still into khukris. changed my mind after packing it on a hike. That thing is HEAVY!! Almost twice as heavy as my fiskar axe. If you do decide to carry it don't carry it on your belt, it's a pack knife for sure. Also the horn handle and brass bolster cracked on mine due to Alberta's wild climate changes (that's what I'm blaming it on.) wet and humid to dry and hot to snow and cold these climate changes can happen within a day around alberta. (Four seasons In a day!!).cAnt think of another reason why it cracked, as I had it in storage in my knife locker and It wasn't tampered with as I am the only person that goes into my man cave. Now this knife is a dedicated wall hanger because I can't trust that the handle won't blow up while chopping.(the crack is down the spine of the bolster and horn handle)

Honestly, unless they really screwed up the heat treat, that crack won't harm the knife anyways. I know some makers deferentially heat treat the blade so the spine is really soft compared to the edge. That combined with the fact that it's a massive chunk of spring steel should render the crack harmless.
