Buck stands behind their knives... Contact them and explain the problems you are having with it. They might work with you.

I've read a few reviews of it and most people seem happy with it. It has a lifetime guarantee so if your not happy contact their CS department and I'm sure they'll make it right.
There is a possibility that this is not an actual Buck, but a offshore copy, in which case you got taken by someone.

someone just posted questions about this one in the knife review section, and the few that have written back so far seem to think it's decent for the money. maybe you did get a lemon. i have no experience with it personally. you may find some info in that other thread, and i've referred that original OP to this thread as well in case he can pick anything up here that might help.

I've never given mine a good workout, it rides in a hoodie pocket now and again. It's about as easy to open and close as any other plastic handled lockback. Not quite as smooth as Spyderco's FRN folders but at least as smooth as SOGs or Gerbers in the same price range. Light weight, locks up tight.

Did yours have blade play or a gritty action?

Frank

The ones i've handled felt pretty solid you must have got a lemon anyhow buck will make it right.

I have the 12pt and I am very satisfied with it. I've seen the 10pt and appears to be the exact smaller version, so I dont know why it would perform less. Other that the handle feel in your hand (which is subjective to hand size and grip), what are the specific problems with the action?

I have the Omni 10pt folder and I've had no problems with it at all. Opens easy, locks up tight. If I had any complaint it would be with the sheath, not my favorite :D

I don't have one but have handled one and thought it was pretty nice.

I'd say don't waste your time with this guy. Original post 10/06, last activity 10/15. Looks like just a drive by to me.

Dave I'm going to disagree with you, rare I know.
At first I thought the same..."Drive By"
But I reviewed his posts and he's someone interested in knives and in fact owns some Bucks. Also, Essav moved his post from the general forum so he may have lost track of it.

I came to the thought that he just got a lemon (and we know that happens with Buck) and isn't happy with the knife.

Could be G, but I was just looking at the fact that it doesn't appear that he's even had any activity in nearly 2 months.

I jumped to the same conclusion Dave. That and the way he wrote the post, seemed more like he was trollin.

I guess some people just don't spend as much time here as some of us

Well, I thought the OP's lack of detail in his post was absolutely...wait for it...abhorent. ;)
