This took me a while, but I figured it out. It's a 1936 AMC/Hudson Terraplane Coupe.

All of the cars of that era looked very similar. This particular one is a standout!

I prefer restorations to factory stock myself, although I do make exceptions for paint jobs.

This guy is from across the river in Jersey but I see him around so next time I see the car I'll ask if he'll let me take some interior and underhood pics.

Is that an original car or a replica? Maybe it's the modern wheels/tires and those Vatozone pipe tips, but something doesn't quite look right.

Nice car, no GORGEOUS car, but all I can think of when I see this is that it must have HORRIBLE blind spots! (either that or it was designed as a mobster's car to provide a less shootable window area... ) My wife's avenger with a spoiler caused her to get into an accident once because she couldn't see anything behind her! (actually it was just a light bump, and thankfully no damage to either car! Whew!)
