Hey, some side by sides would be killer too :D see how it squares up against other Ti frame locks, thickness and length.. cheers and thanks for sharing the photos! You get mail before me! :(

Also, kudos on the finely clipped fingernails. I think I discussed this once with Daniel... haha.

^^ LOL.

I'll get some side by sides up later. It really is a great knife. As solid feeling as my Direware Solo and that is saying a lot.

Differently jealous! Nice looking knife and glad to hear it is solid. Now how do you like the chisel grind?

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that, like all of Daniels knives, that chisel grind is wicked sharp. After all, the one side is a zero degree angle. I do think some people have issues finding the right approach angel for cutting because it's not where you'd think the edge would be when drawing. Chisels are definitely acquired tastes.

(Also proof, the bandaid on my right index finger. Gymmed last night and ended up reopening the cut!)

In general a chisel grind has less overall bevels and bevel changes than most... I feel this leads to high performance when done properly.

That's the carbide cut, right? I have busted mine open three times over the week, they just don't heal! Try it on steak, you'll like it!

Yes, hahaha. Effin carbide. I swear I looked down and it was lodged in my fingertip about halfway up the bevel! I may just take some superglue to it :P

^ Ouch! I just pressed on a blade and needed stitches. Carbide cuts flesh like nothing else! One customer wants a set of steak knives in Ti/Carbide, I really want to make some.

Carbide saws well too, it is cool stuff. The combo also cuts veggies, cloth and cardboard like crazy.

Thanks again 0037ksm, I especially like the display side blade pic!

Speaking of cutting... the CPM-D2 is impressive! I had not tried any until these folders and will be using more for sure. It gets super sharp and stays that way.

Here's most of mine for size comparison. We're in the middle of a move and I had to dig these out of boxes. Seems like some are missing, but this gives an idea. The Fairly is Fairly large. Hah!

Awesome pic! It is pretty cool to see a knife I made among those! I want to print it out and put it on the shop wall. :D

Which is the tan/brown handled knife with the double guard in the middle?

I hosted a little GTG tonight for some knife/tool buddies in the Seattle area. Crusader Forge, Burch, Graham, Stout, Voorhies, etc. were all well represented. I will say, the DF Framelock got the same attention as these elite brands. Truly was regarded the equal of any of them. Congrats, Daniel.
