Sweet! I've recently been thinking about selling my SG2 JYDs since I never use/carry them, but I might have to send one to Brad for some mods instead! It looks really good!. Love them Ti/SG2 JYDs.
Here's mine. The blade has been given a hand rubbed satin finish, a Carbon Fiber overlay has been added, a Carbon Fiber backspacer has been added, and IKBS has been installed at the pivot. All this work was done by Brad Southard and he did an excellent job. There is also an STR lowrider clip installed in the tip up position.

I've attempted to contact Brad at least 3 separate times and he's never responded to anything. How do you get a hold of him?![]()
Is that a composite blade model? What's the line half way down the grind?
Lamination line. Softer steel outside with an SG-2 core.
Not quite: it's a laminated blade rather than a composite one. The harder, more brittle SG2 is sandwiched between two layers of 410. The SG2 is only exposed as the grind thins out toward the edge, so what you're seeing with the line is the transition between the 410 and the SG2.Is that a composite blade model?
