Blade polished by another forumite,he also did the handles. i polished the hardware & further polished the blade.

It looks really good!. Love them Ti/SG2 JYDs.

Here's mine. The blade has been given a hand rubbed satin finish, a Carbon Fiber overlay has been added, a Carbon Fiber backspacer has been added, and IKBS has been installed at the pivot. All this work was done by Brad Southard and he did an excellent job. There is also an STR lowrider clip installed in the tip up position.

Sweet! I've recently been thinking about selling my SG2 JYDs since I never use/carry them, but I might have to send one to Brad for some mods instead!

I've attempted to contact Brad at least 3 separate times and he's never responded to anything. How do you get a hold of him?

Brad has a lot on his plate right now. His order book is loaded, he's just recovering from a hand injury, and he's in the process of moving so getting in touch with him right now may be a bit tough.

Is that a composite blade model? What's the line half way down the grind?
Not quite: it's a laminated blade rather than a composite one. The harder, more brittle SG2 is sandwiched between two layers of 410. The SG2 is only exposed as the grind thins out toward the edge, so what you're seeing with the line is the transition between the 410 and the SG2.

Edit: Dang, beaten to the response by Tony. :p

I'm not exactly sure what the cladding is. I would assume it is a 400 series steel perhaps.

Edit: I guess it's 410 cladding.

Appreciate the info - I just ordered a laminated ZDP-189 Spyderco Caly3 that should be here tomorrow (I'm excited).

I've just gotten into the fused knives (just got a fused Tyrade and Rake - wanting to pick up a fused leek) and laminated knives.

Thinking I want at least one Damascus blade as well.

Sorry for the off-topic stuff - carry on (very nice knife by the way - wish the fused model had those same scales on it).
