Hey guys, I bought me a couple new knives today. Well, new to me anyway. My wife and I had plans to go south to Sevierville to do some serious knife shopping, but we decided to stay local instead.
I ended up going to my local dealer and he had some older Blade-Tech knives in stock. He is trying to thin some inventory down so gave me a good deal on one. I got a USA made Blade-Tech Pro Hunter in S30V for 135 dollars. I don’t know much about them at the moment so any additional info would be appreciated. It feels nice and solid though plus has a nice early lockup.
As an additional bonus I went ahead and grabbed a Spyderco Tenacious too. Sorry about the lack of pics, I have tried to post before and failed.

Awesome!
I have a Tenacious. Really nice for the money. Use it all the time.
Love to see the BT if you can figure the pic post thing out. I use photobucket. Easy

Her is my new Blade-Tech if it works.

Tim Wegner started Blade Tech in his garage in Kent, WA back in the late 1990's. He worked mainly with plastics, building holsters and other accessories. He's designed and patented a few things over the years, including a really good locking system for gear. He worked with Sal at Spyderco when he first started with knives, and a couple other local guys on designs. He uses/tests everything they make; Tim is an extensive hunter. Blade Tech's a pretty good sized company now, having outgrown the premises a couple times over the years. Tim's a heck of a guy and a credit to the industry. He usually does the Oregon Collectors Show in April if you can't get to SHOT and want to meet him.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I got a pretty good deal. The dealer originally had it priced for 199$ but came way down.

Edge01,

Congratulations on a great find. Does that dealer have any other USA made Pro Hunters for sale? If so would you PM me his contact information please? I'm trying to find one and am having a difficult to impossible time.

Thanks.

Frank

Looks like Edge01 may have dropped his membership here, hope not. Anyone able/willing to help get him a PM from me?

Thanks.
