i have just acquired another "mint" LB7. this one has smooth black handles with 4 large pins and a round NRA shield, silver bolsters and blade etch: "National Rifle Association/SPECIAL EDITION" and tang: SCHRADE+/USA LTD.
does anyone know it's year of issue ?
thanks, roland

Roland,
Sorry I can't help you with the year on this one. I checked mine to see if the paperwork gave an indication, but no luck. Nice knife though!

thanks Dave
since they are 4 pin handles, probably they are from the 4 pin era ? ('77-81 ?)

Can you put up a photo please Roland..I think I may have one too. From memory the modern micarta LB7's have 4 pins as distinct from the early LB7's.

That N.R.A lb7 was put out in 1992 according to my books,a cool knife,I have one also, happy collecting,G.M

thanks Mr. Menace. i wonder if these were made using the original 4-pin handle dies ?
or if new dies, then it would be a 2nd generation 4 pin LB7 !
