hey guys. I checked out the NRA site and cant find anything about the show in May down in Louisville, KY. What I would like to know is how much it would be to get in the door (it is said on Kershaw's site that it is open to the public) and what the times are.

Could someone post a link to the info, or could Thomas just tell me if he knows.

I would like to know, because Blade 08' is looking really really out of reach financially and Louisville is not far enough away that it cant be a day trip for me (gotta love being in cincy).

Thanks guys

Hey OL, the thing you speak of is the National Annual Convention that is being held in Louisville May 16th to the 20th is a big deal. Officers for 2008/2009 are elected, and lot of meetings on bylaws, operations, finances and the like. Also some good info on future national campaigns, lobbying, potential laws that may or may not be in the works...it's primarily a business meeting. But there are tons of vendors there, excellent give-aways and you can register for a lot of neat stuff.

I'm not too sure about the costs, but the event held in Charlotte NC a few years back I'd just shown my NRA membership card and walked freely thru .

Take a look at this link, it might be helpful: http://www.nraam.org/

Thanks,

SPX

thanks SPX. i sent them an e-mail that i hope they will get (auto responses always make me wonder). how old do you have to be to join the NRA anyway? I'm only 18. I will be lucky to even be able to go, cause of my budget.

EDIT: i sent the e-mail to the address that the AR said i should. now all i have to do is wait

I bought my son a junior membership when he was only 10...now that was 13 years ago, so I'm not sure what the requirements are now...I would think, that at 18, since you can vote in local, state and national elections, you should be able to get into the NRA...

I went to this show last year when it was in St Louis and it was a great time. I think it was free as long as you are a member of the NRA. Also I think NRA members can bring a guest in for free.

Thanks for the input guys, naimly SPX. I will be looking into getting a NRA membership as soon as i hear back from them in reguards to my e-mail i sent.

does kershaw make appearances at shows in the Southern California area? The market here can't be too bad since the biggest bass pro shop in the world is about 45 minutes from my house.
