NRG2 - which one was really the first?

I've just bought some discontinued Kershaws, two NRG2's among them:


After a while I've noticed a little bit strange fact: the one manufactured in September 2007 is marked "First Production", the other one, stamped "AUG 07" is not. Maybe it is a "Zero Production" run.:)
 
Both of them are blems, as you can see.
The upper one has displaced inscription, so this is possible cause of marking it as a blem.
