Got my NWSAR5 back in April and love it a lot but I wanted to make it just a little bigger :) Here is what I came up with: about 12in overall with 6 9/16 blade(tip to handle) and made from 5/16 thick 5160. Scales are maroon G10 that I found hiding in my handle material stash. I did not add the NWSAR5's false edge to help extend baton life as even an unsharpened false edge can start cutting into a wooden baton. I am pretty happy with the result :D Can't wait to get it to the woods!

That is smokin'! Looks like a no nonsense, get-r-done type knife. A SAR5squatch!

Looks great! The SAR5 does have a perfect blade profile, and wow does it look great in satin.

The scales coming up to the finger guard looks very comfy...
