I usually use Meguiar's Gold Class wax but thought i'd give NuFinish a try today. Suppose to last a lot longer than the 2 to 3 months that the Meguiar's does. Went on easy and came off extra easy. does not have the shine that Meguiars gives it but I'm mainly concerned with the time it lasts. Anyone have any experience?

I have used Nufinish in the past with good results on older vehicles that needed a polish/wax to restore the painted surface. It helped remove very minor imperfections in the paint and restored a good shine. I do not use it on my new cars because I feel it is too abrasive and not needed on their less worn finish. For the newer cars, I would stay with the Meguire's or Zano (My favorite). :)

i have never found any wax which worked to my satisfaction any longer than 2 or 3 months.

I like Meguire's, it is good stuff, they have a great website not unlike Kershaw or Spyderco where their staff are really hands on.

The two best waxes I have found are Meguire's or Mother's and they are the only waxes I use on my cars.

I've used it since the '70's, when needed. It's abrasive, which is good for thick enamel repaints, not so much on clear coats. It will fade out in 2-3 months when the petroleum distillates finally break down. So, you still have to keep waxing, because it isn't a wax.

In six weeks of hot summer sun parked outside, an older enamel paint job will show serious streaking. I don't see why a clear coat would need the treatment, it just needs to be protected to prevent water getting under and peeling.
