nuke heart

The Nuclear Heart is actually the name given to a few Steel Heart Variants, most of them that are called Nuclear Heart were made for the INDY 1500 show in 2002 (or about this same time) Some were E handle variants, some were straight handle variants. There are a handful of these knives out there, none of them exactly the same. Some with long clip points, some with short clip points, some with a "scalloped" spine, some with more of a skull crusher pommel, some with a shorter pommel.
If you look at Badmojo and check out pics V16, V18, V19, V21, V22, V23, V51, there are 2 in V56 etc. These were all made at approx the same time in 2002 and I would give all these variants the name of "nuclear heart" variant. There are more but these are a few

Great snag on that variant on USN, if I hadn't bought one this weekend that one would have been mine ;)

Yes, a prototype is in the works, however, I don't know if anyone will want to spend what I need to charge to make it worth my while. They are a huge pain to make ;)

Mine looks like the one on top but the false edge goes all the way to the point. Eric, are you sure it was 2002? If I remember, I got mine in 2003 because that's when I retired from the military. Could be wrong though since I siffer from CRS;)

Bob,
There were some that came out in 2003 as well. The first one's I saw were at INDY the year before you got yours. I think that most of them were made within that 2 year time frame though.

I have a couple of Nuke Hearts laying around I should get them all together for a group photo. ;)

Skunk,
Nice pic, I'll take the Harpoon tipped one :p
