Anybody got a clue? I know where #1 is, spotted one with my favorite number ( #33 ), and have a picture of one as high as #411. But, just how many were made is a complete mystery! :( Anybody see one higher than #411? Anybody got any thoughts or input on them in general? Post em if you do...or if you don't!! ;)

Should have bought one back when they were only $600. :grumpy:

I think the only thing we know for sure about how many were made is that it was not enough! I've been looking for one for months and have only seen 1 (#1) come up for sale.

I have #419, but that's the # I always request whenever I order a numbered knife. Some guys always request the same numbers, such as #762, #308, #468, #357, #556, #223, etc., for sentimental or other reasons. I was told by a former manager of the Custom Shop that just because you see a high serial # doesn't necessarily mean there are that many of that model in existence. FWIW. Skunk and others know more about this than I do. My point is that I don't think searching for the highest serial number you can find is going to necessarily tell you anything. But I could be wrong.

I think that is the one FSH I "NEED". My HH, LMOASH, HOFSH SE, and FSH Variant need another sister...

I believe your understanding is correct. The numbers don't mean a thing when it comes to indicating the number of LE's made. It's all guessing.
