Number of KAI knives vs. other brands in your collection?

I've been paring back my collection pretty drastically, and just moved on all of my Blurs and a couple of Leeks, which changed my ratio rather significantly. I used to have more KAIs than everything else put together! Still more than any other single brand though.

Folders:
7 Kershaws (5 modified Leeks, a Tyrade blem, and a modified tanto Groove)
6 ZTs (modified 0200 and 0400, 0301 with custom scale, lightly pimped 0560CBCF, 0600, and 0777)
5 Benchmades (Contego, Kulgera, Rukus, Gaucho with custom handle, modified Onslaught)
2 Chris Reeves (small micarta Insingo, modified Umnumzaan)
1 Hinderer (pimped 3.5" XM-18 spanto)
1 Boker (flipper modded Burnley Kwaiken)
1 CRKT (M21-04)

Fixed:
1 Swamp Rat (Ratmandu)
1 Spyderco (Kumo)
2 Customs (matching hunter and machete)
1 Camillus (medium boot knife)
4 Swords (self made straight wakizashi type, 2 Windlass blades with my furniture, and a Christian Fletcher Redeemer)

Multitools:
2 Leathermans (original and Juice S2)
 
ZT makes a third of my collection as of right now.

1 ZT - (0350)
1 Benchmade (940)
1 Spyderco (PM2)
 
10-1 in favor of Kershaw. Would be a little less if I could ever catch PM2s in stock anywhere for more than 3 minutes at a time.
 
All I own are Kershaw/ZT with the exception if a BK11. I did have a lot more, but I sold a bunch of knives to purchase my 0551. Lately I've been trying to cover my knife "priorities" like getting a Wicked Edge and some other smaller things like torx bits and whatnot. My collection will grow back up though.

Kershaw:

FrankenSkyline (orange handles w/ DLC blade)
Customized Cryo (carbon fiber scale and 9mm LBS)
Black Gulch
OD-2 (my first Kershaw)
Chill

Zero Tolerance:

0551, soon to be customized with wood scales.

I should have gotten a WE years ago, way before I started adding more knives. You're doing it right :thumbup:

I'm getting mine done by oharal actually. Is he doing a 0550BLK for you? He posted some pics on Instagram.

1 Three sisters forge beast
1 fairly tye dye backpacker on the way

So it's 8-3 KAI for me. Ratio will be changing when the 770 and 801 cf come out.

Love it. Going to grab a set of the 1/.5 micron strops soon, and replacement 5/3.5 micron strops, as I wasn't paying attention and sliced one of them up pretty good. Gotta pay attention!

That's awesome! I can't wait to order mine. Just waiting for these last two paychecks to come in.

Quality over quantity, I like it!
 
The only brand I have more than one of is Spyderco, which is 2. But I feel like Kershaw will soon surpass that, I have many items on the want list by Kai :)
 
3 Zt's - 560, 350, 566(ordered).
5 Spyderco's - 2 endura's, native, tenacious, PM2 (in route).

Trying to decide on the southard or the new domino for a spyderco flipper. I really dont like the blade shape of the southard but I cant warm up to the domino's glass weave scale.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely keep this post in mind and the other tips I've read while browsing the Wicked Edge Forums.

0 Spyderco's right now. Owned a bunch and like them but nothing appeals to me but the PM2 and the demand is just crazy on them. The rumored fluted CF Para 2 is going to be awesome.

I see where you're going with this. Quality over quantity which also makes the collection more manageable.

Right now, I'm quality and quantity with about 25%-30% being KAI knives.
