Some of the pre 1986 knives have 3 and some have 4 spacers. I have a couple that are 3 line no symbol with 3 spacers and then I also have a couple of the same markings but have the additional micarta spacer in the back. What year did they go from 4 to 3?

Around 1981 but those were transition and not all models got the 1&2 micarta spacers. Later in the same year a 1&1 configuration began thru 86. These are more commonly found. DM

DM, You make reference to some models not having the 1/2( one spacer at the finger guard and two spacers at the pommel) spacer configuration. Do you know which models that applies to? So far, I think I have seen 3 spacer models accross the board. I dont know of any models that didnt fit into the traditional changes.

Do you have pictures of a 1&2 micarta spacer; 102,103,105 & 116? DM

It was thought this configuration skipped these models and went straight to 1&1 . Now we know different. Much occured in 81. DM

It was thought by who?

And "we" know different?

A little honesty would be refreshing, David.

They both have three spacers and are knives that David was saying didn't exist.

So now he learned that they do exist.

Everybody can be happy.

:)

Come on, guys. If you have beef with each other, go out in the parking lot and duke it out or something. This is getting boring to watch, for the rest of us.

enough this is not funny. It is childish.

The trolling is going to stop one way or another.

If you two have a personal problem, make it personal and take it off of the forum.

If we see it here on BFC again we will take it off the forum. I am tired of dealing with adults acting like children. Time to grow up or leave BFC.

That is not a threat. It is the action that will be taken.

Badhammer, are the two spacers visible enough now?

I did my very best.

P.S.: Sometimes I am glad that I am a foreigner and that I don't always understand what is written here. ;)
