The number, 20150 on this whittler does not seem appropriate for the knife.
The knife appears to be an L8423B.
Does anyone recognize the number 20 over 150, maybe as being a subcontract number, say for KeenKutter, John Primble, Maher & Grosh or something like that?? Anything to enlighten would help!
Thanks in advance!!

I looked through the old Keen catalog + the Keen Pocket Knives book and dont find any numbers close. Keen Kutter 3 blades start with a K3nnnn
Dont see any Sears or other numbers close yet but I'll keep looking.

Charlie, I don't think that number has anything to do with a model number. I've seen 100, 150, and 200 on a number of old Cut. Co's, always on the pile side of the master, always multiples of 50 (Never lower than a hundred or higher than two hundred though). I may even have one here, I'll have to look. I've been stumped myself for quite some time over those stamps.

Eric,
Sounds like a good question for Dave..
Wish he would come out and play!

Larry, you've got that right! If I ever see him again I'll be sure to ask him ( if I remember!). He's been kind of elusive lately, you'd think he was retired or something. :D:D

Eric, I'll have to look through mine also. Maybe I've got some too!!??

I'm gonna search for more of these numbers after Santa leaves:eek:!

Happy Christmas to all!!
