I'm new to forum but have a question for veteran members. My 1st seb was purchased in mid 90's and is a large reg.with cr112 on handle.I haven't seen any with production # on handle so just wondering if it has a higher resale value.

Approximately the first 300 of the "New" style (Regular) Sebenzas were numbered to denote a new production item. Though no different otherwise than a non-numbered knife, all else being equal, the numbered Sebenzas should be valued at a modest premium.

The new style regular when introduced were set to have the then new BG42 blade steel. however, a few of the early numbered regulars still had ATS34.

Thank you for replys.I have no intention of selling since it was my 1st and served me well over the years.I'm sending it back to factory soon to be refurbed and also have a damascus blade ordered for my new purchase.I love reading forum and have 5 CR sebenzas currently and always on lookout for another.
